Mark Klein correctly points out:

While talking to them, ask them if they worked with SIGSoftVend
to get a subsystem number assigned :)

It's to every user's benefit to have vendors, and users, cooperate
on choosing filecodes and subsystem numbers. Only in that way can
we avoid finger pointing that occurs if two different groups choose
the same value. E.g., is "subsystem 1000" a value chosen by someone
at Roc/Tymlabs? Or, is it a value chosen by someone at Quest (Netbase)?
Or, is it a value chosen by SolutionSoft (DSM)? All are plausible (if
their software was installed, of course).
