Not sure whether this is your problem, but ...

According to the "Read Before Installing MPE/iX 6.5 Express 2", you should
have VETO'ed the SQLLX50C patch, which could be done only by using Patch/iX
- not Autoinst.

The SQL patch named above installs ALLBASE/SQL version A.G3.15 instead of
version A.G3.18, which would render inoperable any use of the "AS" clause
of any query.

If this is the cause of your problem, the simplest solution may be to
upgrade to version A.G3.18 or higher.

You should be able to retrieve the appropriate patch from HP's patch site.
