Thanks for all the suggestions. It was my error. I was moving the value of
the KSAM record length to a data items that sounded very similar to the
length field used in the intrinsic call, and the real length field was
initialized to low values, hence nothing was moved into the buffer array
after a successful CKREADBYKEY. HP3000 rocks.
