Never thought I would see the day when KSAM didn't work, but here it is.
Cobol programs containing KSAM
intrinsics compiled on system A do not work properly. For example
CKREADBYKEY returns status '00' but does
not return the record in the buffer array. The same source programs compiled
on system B using identical
compile procedures and transferred to system A work fine. Most SYSGEN
parameters such as segment size and
stack size are identical on both systems. The programs do not use any
libraries other than the system XL.
HPPATH and COBCNTL.PUB.SYS are identical on both systems. The KSAM file
being opened is NM.

What could be the problem?

System A: 928RX, MPE/iX 6.0 PP2 (OS recently installed)
System B: 917LX, MPE/iX 5.5
