Basically you are not using IO redirection correctly to read a file.
You really need to do one of the following:
1. make OTEMP a msg file, that way each read is destructive.
2. use the PRINT command to read and write a single record into
another temp file, then INPUT that file into your variable.
3. use alternate entry point that read from stdin. Redirect
this entry point to the OTEMP file.
