I would vote for this. Truth is, I still type all in caps some days. I
learned on HP3000s back on the 2621 days (StarTrek monitors). Quite often I
still use the: Backspace. correct,ctrl-X, enter sequence myself. Funny, when
on a PC I expect it to work like a PC, when on a terminal I expect it to
work like an HP. I worked on DEC terminals way back when and would get
frustrated that all the right keys were there, but they didn't map the same.
Since I know this is Wirt's baby and he is, well, wonderfully Wirt in the
way he is willing to include us in it's design, I ask respectfully that this
be configurable. Though that would introduce more room for bugs.
Also, I use terminal emulation to do lots of dial-in. And this is when I
need file transfer the most. So with the same respect, can we make the file
transfer work over serial connections (PLEASE!).
