Yes, 1973 seems about right but don't quote me. It was recorded with the
Battle Hymn of the Republic playing in the background if I remember
correctly. At the time Sinclair was a radio broadcaster on Toronto's CFRB
and this piece was one of his daily five minute editorials which were called
"Let's be Personal". I understand the recording got considerable airplay in
the US. Even he was surprised by the US reaction to his sentiments.

Gawd, I feel old sometimes.
