The days of MPE programs are not over yet! SMTP-X 6.5 by E-Mail, Inc.
offers many new features, including HTML e-mail, enhanced handling features,
and added easy API enhancements for instant plug-in messaging success with
SMAPI. Plus SMTP-X is the only SMTP gateway with full MIME encoding that
can post and update your website using the POSIX file system capabilities of
MPE. Nothing is easier and quicker to install, or use right away with
success than SMTP-X, a COBOL/Pascal IX NET IPC program that offers
dependability, efficiency and time-proven success. SMTP-X has been
supporting all versions of MPE since 1995 and is still running!

Installation is entirely web-based with Quark and can be downloaded at any
time (24 hours a day) and installed within minutes. Full 45 day demos are
kept on the website at all times. A Microsoft Word 2000 manual is also
available on-line. Check out www.emailinc.com for a demo or email
[log in to unmask] for demo sent directly to you via e-mail -- or request a DAT
tape be shipped to you.

Or from a job passing parameters (the ~ indicates values optionally
backreferenced to a file/ all parameters except the From field can be
backreferenced):

        24 !RUN SMAPI.GATEMHS;INFO="/!from&
        25 !/~to&
        26 !/!subject&
        27 !/textdata=&
