James,
Are you saying that because of problems, you should not run samba from
inetd, only from jobs because of the conflicts with other services? Is this
applicable for all flavors of MPE/iX?

Hello folks @ 30000-l,

Also, how do I terminate JINETD? I have tried 'INETD.NET -k' and
ABORTJOB, neither of which worked.

Keep in mind repairs have gone into INETD, FTP, TELNET, NS-TRANSPORT
and Buffer Manager to improve the reliability of Telnet.
You want to have the following General Release patches installed for
6.0:
FTPFDP3A
INTFDX2A
NMSFDQ9A
PTDGD17A
and for now you want to avoid starting SAMBA from INETD.
