The impression I got was that the original question had to do with HP's
advice years ago to shut down NS when making an SLT, allegedly because
not doing so would produce a tape that, if used for an INSTALL, would
not contain everything needed to bring up the network on the
newly-recreated system. I have no idea if there was actually an issue,
or whether or not it still exists in current versions of MPE.
