Use it frequently and have sufficient main memory.
MPE/iX does an amazing job of keeping the most referenced pages in main
memory.  This is one of the attributes of MPE/iX that distinguishes it from
the "also ran OS's".
If your file is not being kept in main memory then it is because:
a) It is referenced less often than many other pages.
b) It is referenced often but you don't have sufficient main memory to keep
the "important" (frequntly referenced) pages in main memory.
