The "remote announce" parameter apparently did not
do the trick.

In this continuing Saga of Samba access across the
planet.  Our company's corporate network administrator
suggested to both site's network administrators to,
and I quote:

"try adding each other to your WINS databases."

We'll see what happens next week.
