First: Thanks to James for above info.

Second: A question / issue for all:

MPEX L3 on our 959-400 running 6.5 PP2 shows following:

L3 [log in to unmask]@

ACCOUNT=  TELESUP     GROUP=  NSRV0000

FILENAME CODE  CREATOR  CRE-DATE  MOD-DATE
ABORTCON       MGR      16 AUG 98 16 AUG 98

ACCOUNT=  TELESUP     GROUP=  PRVXL
ABORTCON       MGR      30 DEC 00 30 DEC 00

L3 [log in to unmask]@

ACCOUNT=  TELESUP     GROUP=  NSRV0000
SHOWCONN       MGR      16 AUG 98 16 AUG 98

ACCOUNT=  TELESUP     GROUP=  PRVXL
SHOWCONN       MGR      30 DEC 00 30 DEC 00

.... so we've got the newer 6.5 versions just where James indicated.

.... But: As y'all can see we also still have the old versions hanging
around in NSRV0000. I suppose there are arguments either way
for this, but at least from our perspective in most if not all cases for
SYS, TELESUP, and other HP accounts we would prefer that when
programs like above are "moved" by an update, that it really is done
as a MOVE; i.e.: The old versions "become disappeared" as part
of the update process...

DON'T HIT THAT SEND BUTTON YET: I realize there may be
cases where sites may need or want for whatever reason(s) to hang
on to old versions of various HP programs. My answer would tend
to be that if you need to do that, temporarily make a copy in a user
account somewhere until the update is complete... Or; alternatively:
Perhaps when HP moves some of their program files like above,
there could be interaction with the CONSOLE as part of patch install;
i.e.:
"The install job for Patch XXXXXXX has found an old version of the
YYYYYYYY program in <group>.<account>. The <group> group
is no longer used for the latest version of YYYYYYYY. Do you want
to PURGE the out of date version of YYYYYYYY ??".

Why do I prefer PURGE of old programs in no-longer-used HP
groups and accounts ??.... So I or other members of our team do
not accidentally find and run old, incompatible versions of things like
FSCHECK, etc....

SIDEBAR hmmm...: ABORTCON and SHOWCONN are in
PRVXL.TELESUP.  FSCHECK & etc. are in MPEXL.TELESUP...
Was there / is there any rhyme or reason why HP puts some
programs in PRVXL or MPEXL.TELESUP; other than (I thought)
that PRIV mode programs were generally supposed to go in
PRVXL ??..... I don't even have to run ACAP to know that
FSCHECK has PM....
