Leonard,
I can't duplicate this behavior. Commands preceded by '#' are treated as
comments on our systems. We have both 5.5 and 6.5 systems. I guess what
you are seeing isn't normal...

Subject: MPE/iX COMMENT/#
We have noticed that in a session directly at the prompt, any command
prefixed
with COMMENT is treated as, well, a comment and not executed. On the other
hand,
a command prefixed by '#' is executed.
There is no difference between COMMENT and '#' in a command file or in a job
stream.
Is this normal?
