>When is it...
>The Showcase will be held on September 18, 2001 at the University Center
>on the Knoxville campus in conjunction with the Fall Computer Fair.  This
>Fair is organized by the UC Computer Store to enable UT students, faculty
>and staff to meet computer company representatives and see the latest
>computer products.  Combining the Fall Computer Fair and The Showcase
>enables the UT community to see the latest technologies and best practices
>used by academic teaching staff to support teaching and learning with
>technology. If your entry is selected, you will need to be available from
>9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. or from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. to showcase your

>Center staff will review all submissions and select entries for the Best
>Practices@UT2001 Showcase.  Selection will be based upon ways of using

>Help students learn better
>Encourage more student participation via electronic communication
>Support academic assessment
>Enhance total student development
>Make you a more efficient and effective instructor
>Are unique and/or progressive
>Can be implemented across different courses

>You will be notified by August 29, 2001 if your entry has been selected.
>The Best Practices@UT2001 Showcase will include a tabletop display area
>for selected entries. If your entry requires proprietary software or is
>not web-based, please plan to bring your own equipment. We will be working
>in a wireless environment. For all web-based projects, laptops and
>Internet connectivity will be provided.  Projectors may be reserved. Your
