Should work ok using RawLP from Samba. This performs the
FWRITE output to the spooler using CCTL %320 (no advance)
to prevent "extra" linebreaks inserted by record size.

 :xeq /usr/local/samba/lib/rawlp "/tmp/myfile.ps LP"

First parm is filename, second parm is printer device.
You can find the source code of RawLP on your HP e3000
in /SAMBA/PUB/sambalp as of MPE/iX 6.0 ;-)
