Kent,
This is usually control by an access list in your firewall. It's that list
that determine what internal devices (based on their internal IP address)
are allowed to use what Internet service (such, as FPT, Telnet, HTTP, etc.).
Some times they even go so far as to restricting what external IP address
they are allowed to go to when using these services. If you have somebody
maintaining your firewall you might give them the IP address of the 3000 and
let them know you want to use it for FTP.
Thanx,

Subject: FTP to the Outside of the Firewall
I can FTP from my PC outside of the fire wall. I cannot from my HPe3000.
We are running a Novel Network. What do I need to configure to be able to
send and receive FTP files from my HP3000.
Thanks
Kent Wallace
