Just a couple of quick questions to, hopefully, save me some time and make
sure I get the right answers.
1. How many DBOPENs can be done to one database? I believe one process
can issue 127 DBOPENs to the same database but, hopefully, the overall
number is much higher than that. Also, I'm doing logging. Does that
affect the answer in any way?
2. I'm using SNA IMF. How many LU's can be configured per SNA Link? I
currently have a 959 with six PSI cards for SNA IMF connections. I am
going to an N box which, I am told, only supports three SNA Link
connections and I am concerned that I will not have enough IMF connections
available. I have over 300 users and each one does transactions that hit
my IMAGE database and then programmatically, via IMF, access my IBM
mainframe.
Thank-you for your assistance,
Al Smith
