While completely agree with Nick, a sentence comes to mind (which is
applicable to this and many other circumstances; your mileage may vary):
No one can be protected from its own stupidity.

All this is true, BUT let's not take it out of context. I have traveled
all
over the world
(Russia and Egypt are the bug exceptions, Maybe sometime?) and never had a
problem.
Prudence ANYWHERE in the world is an obvious course.

1. Don't put expensive items in a place where they can easily be snatched.
2. Put your wallet in a Buttoned pocket with not much money in it.
3. Carry large bills separately and inconspicuously.
4. Also put ONE change of clothes in you carry-on luggage when flying. If
your
checked baggage gets lost (or more likely delayed) you won't be
completely without.

Regards,

Nick D.

4. Stay away from crowds where possible.
