I just received a new Tech 50D and Tech 40D Octo from Diveinn. I was
surprised to discover that the first stage has three low pressure ports @3/8"
and one port @1/2".

This is my second Tech 50 and my first one has four 3/8" low pressure ports.
Does anyone have any idea why this configuration? All my low pressure hoses
(second stage, octo, inflator) use 3/8" fittings and the high pressure ports
(on the new reg and the old one) are the standard 7/16".

Additionally, the 1/2" port was shipped open without a blanking plug.
Anybody have any insight? Is APEKs now configuring the Tech 50 with a 1/2
port for versatility...I don't know what equipment would use or require a
specific 1/2" port. Should I be complaining to Diveinn, or is this now the
way the reg is being made?

Thanks
Mark
