Not sure, and only speaking for myself at this point, but ....

Could it simply be as follows :

1) 929-KS020 supported till Feb 28, 2003, and
2) 929-KS030 supported till Feb 28, 2006 ?

Objet : [HP3000-L] 929KS-020 Obsolescence

We have heard two stories here:

The 929KS-020 was no longer under HP Support as of February 6, 2003;
The 929KS-020 is being supported until January 31, 2006.

The first was confirmed on the Internet somewhere I can't find and also by
our Var.

The second is confirmed by CSY as related in the June, 2001 Issue of "The
3000 News Wire".

This is very important to us because we are about to expend a great deal to
upgrade to an N4000 class machine based on the information from our Var who
got it from HP.
