Many deceptive practices on the internet fall into a
commercial area that doesn't even involve the deceived in a
transaction, except as the product. The forced clic-through is
performed in order that the owner of the originating site may
collect revenue, the operator of the forwarded browser is not
directly involved in this commercial transaction.
Surveillance cookies and spy-ware are another case where the
deceived is not a party to the commercial transaction, it is
their activity record that is being sold or obtained, without their
knowledge and consent.
No, on reflection I prefer DCIP as in; "That is an e-DeSipTive
activity."
