As to be expected, posted the message and immediately realized I forgot to
mention what version of Apache I've tried this on.


Apache 1.2.5 on MPE/iX 5.5 (binary from M.Bixby site unmodified)
Apache 1.3.9 on MPE/iX 6.5 (binary from HP unmodified)
