Hello Folks @ 3000-l,
Re: /etc/nsswitch
We are working on /etc/nsswitch for the hpe3k and I have questions for you
about possible uses of this network configuration option.
Can you think of how NSSWITCH would be used beyond the following 2 examples
???
----------
hosts : dns[SUCCESS=return UNAVAIL=continue TRYAGAIN=return
NOTFOUND=continue] files
Here the dns lookup is performed and if the entry is not found by the dns
server
or the dns server is unavailable then the hosts file is searched.
----------
hosts : files[SUCCESS=return NOTFOUND=continue] dns
Here the hosts file is searched first and if the entry is not found in this
file, then the dns server lookup is performed.
----------
Thanks ahead of time for your ideas/ideals.
