i hate to get back on my soap box (well, ok, no i don't...i just hate having to
keep talking about this....) but mpe so desperately needs some high-quality
'general' purpose s/w. things like an hr package or a world-class accounting
system. there are plenty of people (imo) who need this software, who want to
run it on their 3000....and it's just ain't there...or what is there can't
compete with everything else that's available in the marketplace.

yes, sadly(?), in this day-and-age, these packages do have to have well-done gui
(or near-gui (eg, qcterm)) front-ends -- but this isn't rocket science anymore!
i absolutely believe that such a software package could easily be marketed to
'the world' because it's not the hardware that makes or breaks the sale, it's
the software. - d
