Eben,

Is this the version that came with MPE/iX 6.5 or is it the one you can
download from Bixby.org?

If its from HP, as ours was, then following the instructions in Chapter 7
(Samba/iX Services) of the Configuring and Managing MPE/iX Internet Services
(part no 32650-90897) will solve most of your problems. The only bug we
found involved some of the permissions. Can't remember what they were but
somebody at HP should know.

regards,

Subject: trying to install Samba v2.0.7

Hello,

I'm trying to install Samba/iX for the first time. When I tried the
smbclient test, here's what I have. I am guessing that it's not configured
correctly. I'm trying to set up Samba v2.0.7. It's running out of JInetD.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Eben

%./smbclient "-L WOODY"
doing parameter load printers = yes
doing parameter workgroup = MIS
doing parameter guest account = mgr.samba
pm_process() returned Yes
added interface ip=192.20.30.15 bcast=192.20.30.255 nmask=255.255.255.0
Client started (version 2.0.7).
