We have had problems with the Telemon email program or it could be with MS
Exchange. The message text and email address are sometimes switched. We
send shipment acknowledgement notices and have received complaints from
our customers that the information in the email is not for their order.
Using the -v option has indicated the emails are correct when they leave
the 3000.

Any suggestions? Is there another email program available for the 3000
except sendmail?

If you don't mind writing some mail headers, there's always the (FREE)
port
of Sendmail. There's a link to it on the jazz site and it works fine
(needs
Syslog/iX but that also works fine).

You'll need to let the 3000 have access to (external) DNS and access to
port
25 out of the firewall to actually send the mail out. An alternate
solution
is to relay the mail to your regular SMTP mailserver and let it do all the
work.

FWIW.
