I just received this note regarding a long time HP3000 system programmer I met while working at Hughes Aircraft and continued to work with when we were sold (errrr outsourced) to CSC. Someone I often consulted with HP technical questions even after leaving CSC. I'm posting the information those of you who may have also known Jerry.
I'm sure his wife would appreciate anything you might be able to contribute concerning Jerry's career and accomplishments, even though it's probably too late to add to his eulogy.

Hi Phil,

There is some bad news here. Jerry Bostick died. We got this message from
Ken Garnier today. I just thought I'd pass it on.

Subject: Jerry Bostick

We had some unfortunate news the other day about Jerry. He died of
Pseudomyxoma Peritonei cancer after about a month of being out on
disability. When I talked with him a few weeks ago he was in a lot of
pain, but setting up surgery. Even so, this came as a surprise to us
since he was able to fight his prostate cancer. And Jerry, with his
medical knowledge, was more than willing to fight his cancer with new, yet
experimental treatments.

Jerry's wife (of one year) would like information on his career and
accomplishments over the years. She has things on his interests of course,
but lacks documentation on his career. Since many of you worked with him
on projects over the years, would you have any ideas his wife can put in
his eulogy? I'll give Paul some information next Tuesday to send her.

Thanks,
Ken

P.S. (from Phil)
I think Ken's lotus notes address at CSC translates to [log in to unmask] but I'm not sure. I'm attempting to check it. So far a test mssg to the address hasn't bounced but since it's Memorial Day I don't think Ken is there to respond if the mssg get through.
