well, assuming you have a cd drive and the keys from hp to unlock the
software (the later is nontrivial, btw <sigh>), imo, it's one of those
better-than-sliced-bread sorta things.
you can build your cslt while the system is up and completely customize
(i guess that's what the 'c' in cslt means, huh :-) it. this
customization can extend well beyond the traditional hp-supplied
'update' tools. for example, when longs was updating mpe on all our
store systems for y2k we did this. part of what we put onto the cslt
was a number of longs-specific files and jobs which made the whole
update process slicker than a hound dog's tooth :-)
i kinda wish this was the standard method for doing updates....
