Hi Folks,

A friend (my old boss) is having a little trouble with trying to hook up a modem to a 918lx.He has taken a working modem and cable, hooked up to a 25 pin dtc connection, and put it on the 25 pin connection on the back of a 918, ldev 21.
The modem will allow a user to connect sometimes other times it just rings and never answers. If you do get connected it works ok but when you disconnect you cannot connect again.
Since this same modem and cable worked for years on the 947 I do not suspect the modem or cable. I think there is something about the 918 I am missing. I am trying to diagnose this problem over this phone so that always makes it more interesting.
Anybody got any ideas or suggestions I can pass on?
