1. Is there an MPE or MPEX command which I can use to list all the
configured printers on a HP3K machine? I know I can use the SHOWDEV
<device> to check one by one. But what if I dunno what the name is and
I want a list of all printers configured - how do I get this list? I
remember that in Unix you can do it using lpstat or something or going
to /dev to check the device names - how about MPE on HP3K.

Assuming that most of you printers are network connected, you could find
those two ways.

1. :PRINT NPCONFIG.PUB.SYS, you may have comments in for each printer giving
       more information.
2. :SHOWDEV NETLP, just to see network connected device numbers and current
       spool state.

For serially connected printers, you could run :NMMGR and check the profiles
for printers, typically PRxxxxxx named, and then check each DTC for this
profile.

For HP-IB, and SCSI use :SYSGEN and do an >IO >LC to see approriate classes.
However, these printers are usually found with you CPU and shouldn't be hard
to find.
