Hi Ron,

we use the following commandfile:
USER DEFINED COMMAND FILE: LASTBOOT.SCHMIDA.SYS

COMMENT This shows the last boot-time of the box.
COMMENT out of the HP3000 Newsgroup
PRINT LOGDCC.PUB.SYS;END=1 > LOGTEMP
INPUT UPTIME < LOGTEMP
ECHO
ECHO !HPSYSNAME LAST BOOTED ON !UPTIME
ECHO
INPUT CONTINUE;PROMPT="Hit Return to continue ..."
PURGE LOGTEMP,TEMP
COMMENT This shows the recorded bootup messages
DMESGP.UTILITY.SYS

Explanation:
LOGDCC.PUB.SYS is a system created file during each boot.
The Utility DMESGP is from the Allegro folks (Stan Sieler) and shows the
boot messages. For more details see allegro.com or jazz.

And as written in the commandfile: the ideas behind came from this group!

Best regards, Andreas Schmidt, CSC, Germany

Subject: [HP3000-L] Last Reboot?

There is a way to tell when a system was last re-booted, but
I've forgot how to do it. Does anyone remember?

Our system has been up for longer than anyone can remember
and what with a half-dozen reports hung in an XFER state
(destined for remote UNISPOOL printers), and a few other things,
I think its time to do a re-start. But I'd like to find out when it was
last re-booted first.
