We implemented two "front-end servers" to deal with these sorts of problems.
Some static datasets exist on the front-ends for reference and are updated in
real time by Netbase. We use the Network File Access facility of Netbase to
direct puts, updates and deletes to the master database. Works very well.

 Subject: [HP3000-L] Number of Users

Hi all,

I'm just wondering if many users has over a 1000 users
on their systems. We are looking to put 1500 on our
989/450. Each user on out system uses 5 processes.
This brings the amount of concurrent processes to
7500. The limit on 6.0/6.5 is 8190. Does anyone have
similar constrants?

Thanks

Steve
