Peter,
As others have mentioned you can turn on logging event 105 for
file closes put this generates a lot of log files. On a busy system
I have seen as many as 30 logfiles a day created.
A couple of other options are:
- A SYSTEM LEVEL PURGE UDC that can either write out the logon
information of the user doing the purge, or send a tellop
that you can later scan the console log for.
- If you have security monitor you can use the command logging feature
to log the PURGE command. Use logtool type=245 to extract these commands.
I haven't tried this particular command but do log all NEWACCT/GROUP/USER
ALTACCT/GROUP/USER and SETCATALOG commands that work great.
Good Luck,
Guy Paul

Subject: MPE: Purged files
Hi all,
Yesterday a part of our job-schedule flushed, the cause was that the
job-file didn't exist. I am sure that on monday the file was still there,
because I've transferred it to my PC for modification. Now my actual
question : is there a way to find out who or what purged this file?
We are on MPE/iX 5.5 PP5, not using any scheduler software for the moment.
Everything is launched from within other jobs.
I know my chances are very small, but I have to try...
Thanks for your help !
Regards
