Yes of course you can :) The tricky thing is that you will have to make
sure
Auto Reply is enabled for your backup device otherwise your operators will
have to wait around to reply to the tape load request :(

It's been a while but as far as I recall, to enable Auto Reply you have to
go into SYSGEN, select io and then "adev ldev#;mode=AUTOREPLY" where ldev#
is the logical device number of your backup device (normally 7). Then exit
back to the sysgen> prompt, type keep to save your new configuration and
then exit.

Now you will have to re-boot your e3000 for the changes to take effect.

Once you have auto reply enabled (you may be lucky and find that It's
already enabled) you can set your backup up as a job stream and STREAM it
;AT=HH:MM to schedule it to run at a given time.
