Paul,

6.5 works and is supported on 9x7 but 7.0 won't.  Refer to
http://www.hp.com/products1/mpeix/operating/mpeix65/specs.html page.  It
clearly mentions that 128MB is a recommended memory minimum to run 6.5.

Also, as other already mentioned, HPIB and HPFL is NOT supported under 6.5
as mentioned in Communicator.
