Hi All :)
Just to thank all who responded (both publically and privately) for the
help with our router connections issues...
It turned out to be a "routing table" issue... seems the 3k puts an entry
into the routing table whenever it can't get to a specific IP address and
this entry becomes the default path from then on... and we got entries
created (that used the wrong gateway address) when we lost the T-1 circuit
between our building and our dental clinic and the 3k (I guess) doesn't look
again until you clear the routing table or specifically tell the 3k to check
a IP address again....
The engineer (thanks Chuck) at the RC walked me thru how to clear either the
whole table or just a specific entry (see NSControl command) ... that seems
to have fixed it...
Or something like that... so I cleared our routing table... and things are
working great!!
Art "on to the next problem.... I think.... hehe" Bahrs
