>(are you still using 2.0.3 now that 2.0.7 is offered?)

Sorry, we're running the 2.0.7 version that came with MPE/iX 6.0 pp2. Was
looking at the wrong piece of paper when I wrote the email. I must sort out
my desk (ie: bin everything on top of it) sometime ;)

Thanks, that's fixed my console message problem.

>> b) Why is <share> set to IPC$ (only 4 times out of 89 did it have a
<share> name)?

Most of them have gone now. It looks as if most were miss-reported and the
solution to a) has fixed that as well.

>> c) Why is <guest> set to GUEST.SAMBA in all cases?

>Didn't your config specifiy guest account = GUEST.SAMBA?

Looks as if screwed up permissions on user.map was causing this problem.

>Lars (maybe I missed something obvious)

You didn't, I did :((

>PS: Don't confuse the Samba 2.0.7 on www.sambaix.com with the
2.0.7 version supplied by HP. They are way different.

This may be a dumb question (got a massive email from Wirt when I last asked
it) but here goes:

  Duhhhhhh??
