Of course, to use the Pentium 4, you must also
get expensive RAMBUS memory  :-(

Early reports are that a 1.7Ghz processor is only 4-5% faster
than a 1.5Ghz Pentium 4.

I think I will stick with AMD, as I can get a 512mb system
for the same range as a 128mb Pentium 4 Rambus system.

Stil waiting for my quantum computer :-)

The P4's seem to have gotten a bad reputation for things like the
processor's tendency to run at 1/2 speed if you actually try to
use it enough that it warms up a little, and I think I heard that
they were about to drop all the P4 prices by like 50% in order to
try to boost sales.
