I do not know if there is any connection between MPE and BSD.  But, if I
remember correctly, HP300 used Amigo operating system.  It was totally
different and bore no resemblance to MPE.  Amigo was quite innovative for
its time.  I remember being fascinated by demo when the HP300 was announced.
In the market place, HP300 failed.  I never heard of any company using it.
