Hope you remember the serial number from the drive that was replaced 26 days
ago so you can make sure they aren't giving you that drive back again :-)

A situation which, as John pointed out, has existed since the dawn of MPE.
Insert a tape and eject it, and you'll see that :SHOWDEV still thinks it is
there.  So unfortunately :SHOWDEV is relatively useless as a tool for
automating things.
