Top ten reasons to telecommute / work at home:
No management by walking around, unless I'm the one walking around
No running into VPs in the bathroom
No fund raisers. If anyone does come by selling cookies, they are easier to
blow off.
I am my own admin. I have my own PC; it's a better PC, and I get fast
approval on any upgrades
I have a bigger office; it's no cubicle, and every chair is my chair
More comfortable "office equipment"
If it's too warm or too cold, I can set the thermostat however I want.
Any time is nap time.
When I'm working late, I don't get surprised by the security guard or the
cleaning crew.
If it get noisy, I can just yell "Hey! I'm trying to work here!"
At home, I have Caller ID as well as voice mail. Enough said.
When a phone rings, I always know whose phone it is and who it's for.
I know whose been doing what in the lunch room, and whose stuff that is in
the fridge.
