Hey Folks,

I've finally had to admit that I probably am not going to restore
this car myself, so I'll have to part with it.

I drove it for several years, but as with any old car things started
breaking and it took more time than I had to get it fixed. Finally,
it got to the point where I had to just park it, and it's been taking
up space in our garage for about 4 years now. We want to get a new
car and my wife has this goofy notion that we ought to park it in the
garage instead of this non-functioning old one.

It is a 1959 Edsel Ranger, 4-door sedan, V8 engine. Good tires (4"
whitewalls, like original). Leaks most everywhere (transmission,
radiator, gas tank). Vacuum-powered wipers don't work, neither does
ignition switch (I rigged a hot-wire to start it). The body and
frame seem to be in good shape, with good upholstery and seat belts
all around.

If you have the time and inclination, it could be a very nice car
again. It was fun to drive - lots of "thumbs up" from other drivers.
It will have to be towed, most likely, to whereever you take it - it
hasn't been started in about 4 years.

Anyway, if you'd like this piece of history (Edsels actually were
pretty good cars, despite the bad reputation. Their failure was due
to marketing and market timing, not quality) give me a call or
e-mail. I'm asking $500 OBO.
