In preparation for final exams, our UC Basement computer lab (in the game room
area) is now open 24 hours. We will remain open continuously, through
approximately 11 pm, Tuesday, May 1st.

Last night we averaged 8 students overnight in this lab with no particular
publicity at all. We normally see this increase through the first week of
finals. Please remind your students that facilities are available for them to
meet project demands.

Our upstairs lab continues to be open until 2 am.

For their convenience, we have also implemented a phone in helpdesk at
757-2678. Open 8 am to 8 pm, Monday through Friday, students may phone in from
home and seek assistance on technology related issues from footnotes to graphs
to PC crashes.  We anticipate this service will prove popular and encourage

details.
