Certainly you can certainly have multiple ip-addresses on a
a SUN server running Unix , never tried it on our HP9000's
though :-

aserver #remsh anotherserver ifconfig -a
lo0: flags=849<UP,LOOPBACK,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu 8232
        inet 127.0.0.1 netmask ff000000
hme0: flags=863<UP,BROADCAST,NOTRAILERS,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
        inet 10.97.39.15 netmask fffff000 broadcast 10.97.47.255
        ether 0:0:be:a6:71:90
hme0:1: flags=863<UP,BROADCAST,NOTRAILERS,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
        inet 10.97.39.65 netmask fffff000 broadcast 10.97.47.255

Subject: [HP3000-L] Multiple IP addresses

To the list...

Can an HP3000 NIC be configured to have multiple IP addresses? I'm being
asked the same questions about HP9000's if you know...
