I am still managing/admin. the HP3000's along with the new AIX's. We orginally
purchased HP-UX but my boss kept getting the run-around from HP about service,
support, etc so he told HP to pick up their servers and purchased the RS/6000s.
HP will eventually lose out on 10 servers to IBM over the next 6 - 7 months. I
have no Unix experience but I have heard that AIX has better features and easier
to learn than HP-UX. Oh, well...

I send you my sympathy for your new responsibilities :(

Best wishes

After-thought: maybe you can convince them of the mistake they made using
IBM and convert them?

Subject: OT: another list like HP3000-L

I really hate to ask this question on this list... but does anyone know of a
similar list for IBM? I recently assumed the sys manager/admin.
responsibilities
of 5 AIX RS/6000 servers. TIA and please accept my humble apologies for
mentioning IBM on this list...
