Thanks for providing a link on that page to the GNU info!  I've heard
of the bash shell, but don't know a thing about it.  It was certainly
encouraging to read

  "Bash is an sh-compatible shell that incorporates useful features
   from the Korn shell (ksh) and C shell (csh). It is intended to
   conform to the IEEE POSIX P1003.2/ISO 9945.2 Shell and Tools
   standard."

Since it conforms to the POSIX standard, everything we're used
to doing should still work, right?  Plus, I suppose there are
other benefits as well (otherwise, it wouldn't exist).  Now,
it's just a matter of finding what's new and useful.
