PALO ALTO, Calif.(Reuters) - Hewlett-Packard Co. and its former testing
unit, Agilent Technologies Inc., Inc., have agreed to discuss forming a
strategic alliance, the firms said on Thursday.

``Two companies that were once one may come full circle,'' they said in a
statement, referring to the spin-off of Agilent, which split the companies
that are still major customers of one another.
