The Legato client for the HP e3000 probably wasn't HP's to begin with.  It
was most likely written by Legato (hence the name).  HP may have only
certified the product (and perhaps made some AIF calls to support the
product).   As such there would be very little to "open-source".   Legato
as a company still exists.  I doubt they will give away key technology.

Oracle also dropped the HPe3000 as a platform.   I do wish we could
convince Oracle to go open-source.   :-)
