Hello:

We have an application running on an HP3000 997-800, accessed by a daily
avg. of 1000 online users,
which consists of 30-40 IMAGE databases (about 105GB in total size), with 4
Allbase DBEnivoronments
attached to several of these IMAGE databases. We are running MPE6.0 with
Powerpatch 2 installed.
Our 'online' window is 6am-11pm and our 'batch' window is 11pm-6am.

For various infrastructure reasons, we are thinking about revisiting the
use of IMAGE logging in this
environment. I mention 'revisit' because about 5 years ago, we enable
logging on just 1 of most active
databases and were asked to disable it only after 10 minutes, due to
quickly degrading online
performance.

Is there anyone out there using IMAGE logging in their environment? If so,
is your environment
comparable to the size of ours? Do you experience any performance issues
with either the online or
batch environments? Were there any any special configuration or
considerations taken into implementing
IMAGE logging in your environment?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Stephen Bruno
